However, the point is, your surroundings can affect your inspiration/creativity/writer's block a lot. If you're stuck in a rut, try moving the furniture around. Some people might say feng sui is the answer, but I say that just move the stuff around till you feel happy. Besides, it costs a HUMANGOUS amount of money just to get a "feng sui specialist" come into your house and mark out where everything should be placed. This past winter, I was forced to move my desk and major workspace area around several times. And I can definately say that certain areas felt more "Nywargh"-ish than others. It wasn't really that they were inconvenient, they just didn't bode very well with me. The current position I have more is much more relaxed and not "Nywargh"-ish in the least. Remember though, darlings, you may have to try many arrangements. You most likely won't get it right on the first time, which is where that feng sui specialist could come in. However, I, myself, do not have the luxury of blowing $700 just to be told (I'd still have to go buy and make the placement of everything after) a relaxing placement of my furniture. Though, one must admit that this would not go very nicely for those who are extremely nit picky about having all the decorations match. (I am most certainly not one, those glittery fronds were bought at a leftover Christmas sale, and it's currently Spring. ^^)
And then there is the gigantic way to change your surroundings... move. However, I don't think many people would do that just for inspiration's sake. ^^; Thus, they take the next best option, going to
So go off to frolic and be merry in your little projects!
